The unions USO, CCOO, UGT and Railway Union have called the strike on February 9, 10 and 11 for the National Network of Spanish Railways (RENFE) and for Railway Infrastructure Administrator (ADIF), thus joining the workers of private operators Iryo and Ouigoas explained by Europapress.
Last week there were already strikes in Andalusia and Catalonia, with a massive rally taking place on February 3 in front of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobilityand.
In this way, the strike request has been submitted, in addition to the prior mediation request at the Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (CHASM) and thus demand more security and real training to be able to properly carry out their activity.
Likewise, among the demands are the provision of training on self-protection and emergencies, in addition to establishing a protocol of action and direct communication between all members of the crew, coordinated with Renfe, Adif and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
Also highlight other major demands that have been considered a attack on professionalism “as demonstrated by the leak of internal audio, including those from the Operations Management Center.” Likewise, they have indicated that “these events represent an attack against the workforce, deteriorate the work environment and compromise the trust necessary for responsible and effective management of the railway system,” they denounce.
