The gas leak from a tank at the Navazo factory that occurred this Tuesday morning has caused the DGT to cut off traffic on the A-66 and N-630 from the southern exit of Guijuelo to Béjar.
Specifically, since 3:43 a.m. this Wednesday, the DGT has kept both roads closed from kilometer points 393 and 414 “due to a spill.”
The factory currently remains inoperative and workers were notified during Tuesday night about the suspension of production.

In fact, as this media outlet has been able to confirm, the Military Emergency Unit (UME), with the Intervention Group in Technological and Environmental Emergencies #GIETMA and the León Emergency Intervention Battalion, has traveled to the factory area to provide service.
The closure of both roads remains indefinite and the DGT proposes the SA-214 and SA-220 roads as the main circulation alternative, which run through the municipalities of Valdelacasa, Cristóbal or La Calzada de Béjar.
A few minutes before 9:00 a.m., Civil Protection sent a new notice to mobile devices. It recalls the situation due to the leak of natural gas produced in the Navazo and asks the population to move away at a minimum distance of one kilometer. In addition, it warns of the need to keep doors and windows closed.
