The Spanish Cross Country Championship travels to Andalusian lands, specifically to the Cordoba town of Almodóvar del Río, for a double day on Saturday – in minor categories – and on Sunday for the ‘older’ ones. An event where Castilla y León will seek to repeat the successes of previous editions, such as 2025 in Getafe where a total of nine medals were achieved between the two days of competition, including the absolute men’s individual gold, the absolute women’s individual bronze and team silver in women and bronze in men in the absolute category.
There will be a total of 865 athletes (360 on Saturday and 505 on Sunday) from 18 regional federations, distributed among the seven categories of the Spanish Cross Country Championship and the four races of the CESA Under-16, Under-18 and Inclusive by Regional Federations. Castilla y León comes with 22 athletes for Saturday and 33 athletes, in addition to the coaching staff for both days.
The Salamanca representation will be made up of Kuma Samuel Barrio, Álvaro González, Alba García, Andrea Jaén, Sandra Domínguez, Silvia Rodríguez, Alonso Valverde, Andrea Diego, Helena García, Adrián Sánchez and Lucía Iglesias.
