The DSA-359 highway, which establishes the connection between Ciudad Rodrigo and the provincial limit of Cáceres through Martiago, has returned to full normality after the completion of the stabilization work at kilometer point 11+950. The road was open to traffic from this Thursday, once the emergency actions necessary to guarantee the safety of drivers traveling through this area of the province were completed.
The work has focused on the right bank of the road, where the strong and intense rains recently recorded had caused landslides that compromised the stability of the terrain. The project has fundamentally consisted of the deep cleaning of the slope and the installation of protection systems to prevent new meteorological episodes from again causing movement of materials on the road.
