Self-defense workshops for women begin at the Luis Vives Municipal Center

This Monday afternoon, the Luis Vives Municipal Center hosted the first self-defense workshop for women that will be held in the coming months in the neighborhoods of the capital of Tormes.

The Councilor for Family and Equal Opportunities, Miryam Rodríguez, visited this afternoon the training sessions that are part of the quarterly programming of the Municipal Equality School and that will take place until June 26 for free.

The workshop, like those that will be held soon, has been taught by an agent from the Salamanca Local Police, thus complying with the request made by the neighborhood associations, with the aim of raising awareness and training citizens on equality, placing special emphasis on the preventive aspects of gender violence.
