Doctors from Salamanca attend the Madrid rally in rejection of the draft of the Framework Statute

For months, the doctors of Salamanca have been on the warpath against the Ministry of Health. Among the demands they have is the creation of their own statute to govern themselves, far from the Framework Statute that has been signed with the so-called Ámbito unions.

In this way, some 70 or 80 doctors from Salamanca have gone to the capital of Spain to raise their voices for their own, in the face of a strike that will also begin this Monday, February 16, and will last until Friday, February 20.

Likewise, they have asked to be heard by Mónica García, Minister of Health, and to sit down to negotiate a medical statute since “we are the captains of Health”, in the words of the president of CESM in Salamanca, Ángel Bajo.

Finally, it should be noted that there will be one week of strike per month until June, at which time they will reconsider what to do without ruling out an indefinite strike.
