The rector of the University of Salamanca, Juan Manuel Corchado, has received a delegation from the Northwestern Polytechnic University of China led by the dean of the Faculty of Automation, Li Weilin, to reinforce the collaboration agreement signed in 2024. At the meeting, both academic institutions have agreed to promote the exchange of professors, researchers and students and, before concluding this course, invite USAL professors to teach classes at the Chinese university.
Among the new projects that will come to light, the creation of a joint laboratory through a call from the Ministry of Universities stands out, or the training of Chinese students in the factories that the Antolín group maintains in the Asian giant, with six months of internships in engineering and automotive.
Also participating in the meeting, on behalf of USAL, were the rector’s delegate for Digital Transformation issues, Fernando de la Prieta, and the local director of the Confucius Institute, Xu Jinjing; and on behalf of the Northwest Polytechnic University of China, the director of the Faculty Office, Wei Aiyu, and the officer of the Section, Jiao Jian.
