The Independent Trade Union and Civil Servants Center has made a call to public institutions to vindicate a series of requests that they have been making for years to the Government of Castilla y León and to the Government of Spain itself.
Enrique Vega, president of the autonomous sector of Health CSIF Castilla y León, has explained the objective being pursued, that of having a defibrillator in each of the public buildings to safeguard the physical integrity of people and save a life if necessary.
Through training carried out by CSIF, they have also invited public bodies and private companies to request this type of courses from the union in order to train their workers for the proper use of AEDs, Semi-Automatic External Defibrillators, or the performance of CPR, cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
On the other hand, they have also explained the need for places such as busy stores or shopping centers to also have AEDs, in addition to correct signage for them.
In addition to the defibrillators, they have also highlighted another of the objectives that have been pursued for years, the figure of the school nurse āin all community centers, so the signing period is still openā so that people continue joining this initiative, as highlighted by Vega himself.
Antonio Grande, Health Delegate of the Independent Trade Union and Civil Servants Central, has also stated that āwe demand that SACYL workers can have this training and that it counts as something paid. In addition, we also want the conditions of the workers to improve since they are worse than those of everyone around us.ā
Likewise, they have also publicly requested the resolution of the oppositions, in addition to a correct professional career decree and that the calls for oppositions ādo not take years.ā
At the event itself, they gave demonstrations on how to perform CPR if necessary.
