He Santa Marta de Tormes City Council has returned for the second consecutive year to the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) to present three proposals tourist attractions marked by leisure, science, art and outdoor experiences. âThey are designed to complement the visit to Salamanca and encourage tourists to discover our municipalityâ, highlighted the mayor, David Mingo.
The first, the âPath of the Bridges of Artâ, It is a five-kilometer route between Salamanca and Santa Marta that follows the course of the Tormres River and can be completed on foot or by bicycle. It includes pedestrian walkways, bird watching areas and information panels. The experience is completed with the one kilometer Requesenes Stream Route.
The second is the âPath of Ambushed Artâwhich allows you to admire sculptures integrated into the Tormesion landscape, such as the figure of the woodpecker and the twenty birds that make up the work âFlockâ. âEach stop is an invitation to enjoy and connect with the natural environment,â said the mayor.
The third and last proposal is framed in Astronomical Tourism. It is about âPaths to heavenâwhich will convert the Soto Island in the ideal space to contemplate the solar eclipse that will take place on August 12. âIt is a privileged environment where the night reveals a firmament full of constellations,â he added. For this reason, it will also host five stargazing evenings between April and October and a sixth in the month of July.
