Guijuelo rewards the Christmas creativity of its neighbors and merchants

The Guijuelo City Council has proceeded to present awards for its Christmas competitions, an initiative that seeks to boost local commerce and encourage citizen participation in municipal life. The mayor, Roberto Martín, accompanied by councilors Roberto H. Garabaya, Laura Martín and Yolanda Alonso, led the institutional event where the creativity of the participants in the two categories called for these festivities was recognized.

Within the framework of the II competition for the decoration of balconies, facades and windows, the highest recognition has gone to Carmen Blanca Montero for the ornamentation of balcony number seven, who has been distinguished with an Iberian ham. Second position went to Tomas Durán for the design of balcony number three, receiving as a prize a batch of Iberian meats and an invitation for two people to the traditional slaughter days. For her part, Celia San Cecilio has obtained third prize thanks to the decoration of balcony number four, receiving a batch of Iberian products.

In parallel, the V window display competition has once again highlighted the efforts of the commercial sector to decorate the town. The Elena Martín Pharmacy has won the first prize, consisting of an Iberian ham, a meal for two people on the days of the slaughter and a twenty-week advertising campaign on Radio Guijuelo. Second place went to the Inés Martín Pharmacy, which received a batch of Iberian products along with ten weeks of advertising on the local station, while the Dena Ponte Hairdresser completed the podium with third prize, receiving a batch of Iberian products.
