If I don’t stop it and the traffic light is green, it will kill the people who were passing by

A man has been arrested on the Carmelitas walk by Local and National Police officers late this Tuesday morning for stealing a van from a fruit store in the area.

As this media has learned at the scene, the fruit shop workers were working around the vehicle when the thief took the opportunity to enter the truck and, despite the struggle with one of the employees, manage to take it, colliding on his way with several cars that were parked.

The man has driven the vehicle along Padre ManjĂłn Street, but, according to what the victims of the robbery have told this media, several clients of the establishment have noticed the event and have been able to detain the man with their own vehicles, and he was subsequently immobilized by Local Police officers, assisted by the National Police Corps.

“If I don’t stop it and the traffic light is green, it kills the people who were passing by. If it’s kids’ time, it causes a tragedy,” one of the people who helped restrain the criminal explained to this medium.
