Real Madrid beat Deportivo Alavés 2-1 this Tuesday on matchday 33 of LaLiga EA Sports, cutting the series of four … consecutive games without winning, thanks to the goals of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior, who apologized to the crowd at his celebrationafter both players were whistled at the start of the match, after which they remain six points behind the leader, waiting for FC Barcelona-RC Celta this Wednesday.
After the elimination of the Champions League in Munich, the Santiago Bernabéu, with fewer spectators than usual, received its team on a night full of tension and chose the ‘culprits’. Mbappé, with a lot of luck and a rebound, and ‘Vini’, with a great goal from a long shot, took the first whistles, although both turned in their goals – the ’10’ has already scored 41 (24 in the League) in 40 games this season – to give the whites the victory and calm the waters for Chamartín.
Waiting for a catastrophe in Barça scoring, Real Madrid delivered in a match that also saw Éder Militao replaced due to muscle discomfort and to a noted Eduardo Camavingasent off against Bayern, and who was the target of the whistles in the second half. Alavés ended up scoring in stoppage time, with a goal from Toni Martínez, although they left empty-handed and with the fear of falling to the relegation spots if Elche CF beat Atlético de Madrid.
Not even three minutes into the game had passed when a good offensive action by Ángel Pérez, against a soft Álvaro Carreras, unleashed the first whistles from the white stands. In fact, Alavés were much more precise in attack at the beginning and enjoyed the first shot on goal of the game, from Toni Martínez, which was stopped by Andriy Lunin.
Meanwhile, the whites dominated the ball, but without fang or offensive hunger and did not test Antonio Sivera in the first 20 minutes. Only Jude Bellingham seemed fresher and the only one who made breakaways. Kylian Mbappé also caused some problems for the ‘babazorra’ defense with crack dribbles, but the attempts were unsuccessful.
That offensive stagnation, without the expected clarity, was unclogged by a rebound goal from Mbappé, who finished from the edge of the box and made it 1-0 after the ball hit a defender. A goal that calmed the spirits and fueled Arbeloa’s team, which later had a couple of good chances, from Arnold and ‘Vini’, to distance themselves.

With the wind in his favor, Arbeloa brought on Dani Carvajal, cheered by the fans, and Eduardo Camavinga, who was received with a loud whistle.
With the lead of two goals, Arbeloa was introducing changes to strengthen his team’s battery and give rest to some pieces, such as Tchouaméni or Alexander-Arnold, taking advantage of the fact that the intensity in the duel was decreasing as the minutes passed.
Alavés scored the goal of honor thanks to a timely Toni Martínez who put his boot in a shot that seemed harmless, after an important warning with a header against the post by Víctor Parada. Sánchez Flores’ men remain with 33 points and end a streak of four games without losing, only one above Elchewhich still has to receive Atlético this Wednesday.
