The Salamanca City Council has preventively and provisionally placed a series of concrete walls at the site of the fatal accident where a woman lost her life after falling off one of the cliffs located next to the so-called roundabout of the Salamanca hospital.
A measure that has been taken to avoid incidents similar to the one that occurred on Friday, January 30, and due to the breaking of the red security fences placed next to the curbs of the road.
As SALAMANCA24HORAS learned at the time, the accident occurred in the Sanitarios roundabout, where a Toyota Yaris collided with the security fences, which broke upon impact and precipitated down the embankment.
Upon the arrival of the emergency services, the death of the 58-year-old woman, the sole occupant of the car, was confirmed.
