The floodgates of the Santa Teresa dam and the Águeda reservoir open due to the increase in flow

Since this Thursday, the gates of the Santa Teresa Dam have been open to regulate the flow of water, as are those of the Águeda reservoir, with the aim of keeping the situation in the region under control.

Currently, the authorities maintain a yellow alert in Saucelle, both in the Duero and in the Huebra, and a red alert in the Huebra river as it passes through Puente Resbala, due to the risk of flooding.

Adverse conditions have also affected CM-512, cut in both directions between kilometers 0 and 3.7, between Galisancho and Fresno Alhandiga, due to flooding.

It is worth remembering that the mereorological situation, with the intense rains that have added to the thaw, have put numerous towns in Salamanca in check this Thursday afternoon, where streams and rivers have overflowed or kept them on alert due to the rise in level.
