Mario Simón was very happy for the three points in Tajonar, for the clean sheet and also for the debut of Abde Saidi. Furthermore, he continually emphasized that the objective is permanence.
Assessment. “A fairly even and competitive match. In the first half there was alternating dominance and the clearest chance was for us with Chibozo. In the second half we had more control and we were more settled on the field. And we went ahead from a set piece and the second goal gave us confidence and peace of mind.”
The changes of Pere and Mounir. “There have been two negative circumstances. There is no injury, at the moment it is Pere’s discomfort. Seeing a profile of the rival, we left Chibozo up to look for a break. And Mounir had a knock on his knee and gave Abde his debut. I think he has performed well. They have all offered a very good level.”
Key victory. “It is important for beating a direct rival, the fourth victory in the last five games and another clean sheet. We are three points closer to our goal, which is permanence. We have to value this month of January and the beginning of February a lot to reach the final stretch as comfortably as possible.”
