The Governing Council of the Junta of Castilla y León approved this Thursday a subsidy of 60,000 euros so that the University of Salamanca and the rest of the public campuses in the Community (Valladolid, León and Burgos) can develop activities on European affairs.
Each university will receive a aid of 15,000 euros. The USAL will allocate it to the call for two scholarships for enrollment in the Master in European Union Studies. It will also organize a training visit to the European institutions and the Permanent Delegation, a free intensive practical course to prepare for oppositions to the EU and a commemorative activity to mark the 40 years of the accession of Spain and Portugal to the community.
Likewise, USAL will participate in the European Debate of the Public Universities of Castilla y León (DEUCYL)which will take place on the days October 16 and 17 in order to bring the functioning of the European Parliament closer to university students.
