This Thursday, La Covatilla registered more than 67 liters per square meter and gusts of up to 137 km/h

The intense rains recorded during the night and early morning hours of this Thursday, associated with the passage of Storm Leonardo, have left significant accumulations of water and a notable episode of wind in different parts of the province.

According to data published by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), at the La Covatilla ski resort, up to 8:00 a.m., 67.2 liters per square meter had been collected. Added to this episode of precipitation was a strong wind, with maximum gusts that reached 137 kilometers per hour and an average speed of around 98 kilometers per hour, according to early morning records.

The weather situation has also had an impact on the river network. The Huebra River, as it passes through Puente Resbala, remains at the red level, with a level of 5.89 meters, according to the latest data provided at 8:20 a.m. this Thursday, after a night marked by intense rains throughout the province.
