The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities has approved the second resolution of the ‘Children’s Bonus’. With this new delivery, the regional government has granted a total of 34,051 bonuses since the program started last December.
On this occasion, the resolution published on the electronic headquarters benefits 12,524 families with 17,691 vouchers, which represents an increase of 1,331 aid compared to the first phase, consolidating the trend at the forefront of the needs of households in the Community.
In economic terms, the effort of the Government of Castilla y León translates into an investment that already reaches 6.81 million euros. Of this global figure, 3.2 million corresponded to the first resolution at the end of the year, while the current amount rises to 3.5 million euros. This budget is part of an initial fund of 16 million euros specifically allocated to this subsidy, an amount that the regional Administration is willing to increase if necessary to cover total demand and achieve the objective of reaching around 80,000 families.
The ‘Children’s Bonus’ consists of direct aid of 200 euros for each dependent child between 4 and 12 years old. Its main purpose is to help parents balance their personal, family and work lives, also promoting co-responsibility.
To access this subsidy, parents must be actively employed and have a joint income of less than 55,000 euros, a limit that is reduced by half in the case of single-parent families.
