The burning of the ‘Toro de Cenizos’ also promoted by the Carnavaldeltoro Association means the closing of another carnival, the memory of five days that at this time are already part of the history of this centenary festival that exalts the fighting bull.

The most tragic was the night fight on Friday, where a 71-year-old man from Ciudad Rodrigo lost his life after being violently gored against the boards.

And as an essential part of this event, the bullfighter Pérez Pinto’s cape has once again demonstrated its power of salvation, saving several young men from being gored and this year he has completed nine years doing this work. Their presence, in addition to being necessary, is vital, so much so that many of the trimmers and capers who risk their lives these days say that they stand in front of an animal of this size and in this scenario with the peace of mind that Pérez Pinto is here ensuring their safety.
