The electoral campaign begins in Castilla y León

The electoral campaign has officially started in Castilla y León this Friday, February 27, with a total of 16 lists that have been presented for the Elections to the Cortes of Castilla y León 2026 that will take place next Sunday, March 15 and where more than two million people are called to the polls.

In the province of Salamanca there are a total of 204 names between candidates and supplements, with big surprises and familiar faces and, yes, with two more candidates than in 2022.

Logically, last Thursday different media already carried out their pre-campaign, as was the case of Alfonso Fernández Mañueco in Salamanca who promised more support for the self-employed, in addition to reducing taxes and reaching out at all times to the countryside, one of the great victims in recent years and a basic pillar in the Castilian-Leonese region.

In this way, the countdown begins to win one of the ten positions offered by the Chamber of the Cortes of Castilla y León. On March 15, 2026, the future of the region will be in the hands of its inhabitants until it is known who will have power in the late afternoon of that same day.
