A 60-year-old man suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest in the middle of a public street in Santa Marta de Tormes on Monday morning.
Thanks to the quick and effective intervention of a Civil Guard patrol from the Santa Marta Post, which immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers, it was possible to keep him alive until the arrival of the Local Police, who used a defibrillator.
Subsequently, the health services continued with specialized care and proceeded to transfer him to the Salamanca Hospital for a more exhaustive medical evaluation, leaving him stabilized.
