Mañueco suspends the press conference in which he was going to report on the March 15 elections after the Adamuz accident

The president of the Junta de Castilla y León was going to appear this Monday morning to report on the regional elections scheduled for Sunday, March 15.

This is the confirmed date, after having exhausted last Tuesday the last possible deadline for the 8th, which was another of the dates that was being considered.

It was this Monday when Alfonso Fernández Mañueco was expected to dissolve the Cortes and finally announce the date of the elections for March 15. Due to the tragic railway accident due to the derailment of two trains in Adamuz, which occurred late in the afternoon of this Sunday, January 18, Mañueco announces that it is suspending the press conference to a date that is postponed and that after the Government Council is held, which will take place this Tuesday, the decree will be informed through a press release.

Likewise, the president conveys his deepest condolences and closeness to the families of the victims, as well as his wish for a speedy recovery to the injured people. At this time, he assures that “Castilla y León joins the pain of those affected”, considering that “respect for the victims must prevail over any other consideration” and putting the services of the Community at the disposal of the Junta de Andalucía.
