Guijuelo dedicates his nighttime Matanza day to hospitality

The Salamanca municipality of Guijuelo continues to be immersed in the celebration of its traditional Matanzas days. On this occasion, the day of this Saturday, February 21, has included a most special event: its night slaughter.

This day has included both the sacrifice and the cutting of the pig, as well as its proclamation beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the afternoon. The journalist Javier Gallego has served as master of ceremonies, while Carlos Santos, also a journalist, has been the director of said performance.

In addition, this evening highlighted Cristian and Jonatan Ojeda and José Ángel Sánchez, from the hospitality sector, and Álvaro Nieto, director of The Objective, as honorary residents of Matanzas. In fact, the massacre itself has been dedicated to the hospitality industry.

Around 8:00 p.m., a tasting of the slaughter took place, which, like all previous days, was of a solidarity nature.

This nocturnal massacre is added, in Saturday’s programming, to the meeting of ‘Alberto Vela’ drummers organized by the El Torreón folkloric group that was held during the morning.
