The Spanish youth handball team, the Guerreras Juveniles, are already in the city of Béjar concentrated to participate in the double international friendly they will face the Slovakia national team, on March 5 and 7. The Spanish team is developing its training and preparation sessions at the Antonio Sánchez de la Calle municipal sports center. For its part, the Slovak expedition is scheduled to arrive in the city this Wednesday, thus completing the sporting and institutional device planned for this international event.
The matches, organized by the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM) with the support of the Béjar City Council, will be played at the following times:
Thursday, March 5 – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 7 – 7:00 p.m.
This concentration is part of the official preparation calendar of the national youth team and represents an excellent opportunity for fans to enjoy the emerging talent of Spanish women’s handball live.
On the occasion of this sporting event, the City Council has promoted the organization of complementary activities aimed at bringing handball closer to young people and promoting sports practice in the city.
Likewise, an institutional visit will be carried out by the Béjar City Council to both teams, as a sign of hospitality and recognition of the work they carry out in the field of grassroots and high-performance sports. The celebration of this double international friendly consolidates Béjar as the venue for national and international sporting events, reinforcing the municipal commitment to sport as an engine of social, tourist and economic revitalization.
