An incident that has occurred on a chairlift at the La Pinilla station (Segovia) has left numerous skiers trapped for more than half an hour, although all people have been evacuated and there is no confirmation of injuries, as reported by the 112 Emergency Center of Castilla y LeĂłn.
At 12:37 p.m. the 112 operations room began to receive calls reporting a problem on the chairlift at the aforementioned station, which had been stopped for more than half an hour and there were “many people” riding on the chairs, who were cold and scared.
112 has reported the event to the Emergency Coordination Center, the firefighters, the Civil Guard (COS) of Segovia and Health Emergencies -Sacyl- which has mobilized resources to the scene.
For its part, the ski resort has reported to 112 that there was an incident with the lanes, so the Emergency Coordination Center has mobilized the rescue group of the Junta and the Civil Protection groups of Riaza and La Granja, while Health Emergencies -Sacyl has mobilized a mobile ICU, two basic life support ambulances, a medical team from Riaza and a medical helicopter
Finally, the emergency services have managed to evacuate all the people who were trapped on the chairlift and have treated a total of 18 people, although none have required transfer.
