The expansion of the ‘Neme’ football field will be completed next spring

The Salamanca City Council has put out to contract the expansion and improvement works of the Nemesio Martín “Neme” football field for an amount close to one million euros. The objective of the council is to increase the dimensions of the playing field by annexing a strip of about three meters on the southwest edge and expanding the surface of the changing rooms, as the existing ones are insufficient to accommodate the youth teams.

In order to expand the land, the University of Salamanca, owner of the adjacent land, has made a transfer of the land, which will allow the field to be expanded, which will also benefit from the installation of a new artificial grass during the renovation.

The renovation project, which has already been published, also includes the work to expand the changing rooms, which will require the extension of the existing building, also contemplating the elimination of the gas tank and the removal of asbestos from the roof.

The works have a completion period of ten months so they will be completed in the spring of 2027. Interested companies will be able to submit their offers until April 15. The procedure will be carried out through open auction.
