After the elections held this past Sunday, in which the Popular Party has been strengthened, the Cortes of Castilla y León will start the 12th legislature with a new distribution within which, by the way, Salamanca once again consolidates itself as one of the main fiefdoms of the Popular Party in the region.
Not in vain, the province of Salamanca will have a representation dominated by the Popular Party and headed by the president of the Board and regional leader of the party, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco.
Along with him, the PP will keep Rosa María Esteban, Carmen Sánchez and Raúl Hernández in the chamber, while Ángel Porras joins as the new attorney for the province.
In the case of the PSOE, the Salamanca delegation will be completely renewed with the entry of Francisco Díaz, Noelia Merino and Miguel Ángel Luengo, who will debut as regional attorneys. For its part, Vox will maintain Carlos Menéndez and add María Dolores Mateo as a new representative.
Renewal in the rest of the provinces
The renewal is not only a matter for Salmanca, since it also extends to the rest of the provinces of the community.
In Ávila, the PP incorporates Cristina Sanchidrián and maintains David Beltrán and María de los Ángeles Prieto, while the PSOE introduces María del Carmen Iglesias and Iván Zazo. Vox repeats with José Antonio Palomo and Por Ávila continues with Pedro Pascual.
In Burgos, the popular ones present four new faces: Marta Arroyo, Belén Vélez, Luis Alberto Rasero and María del Carmen Santillana, along with Alejandro Vázquez, who repeats. The PSOE will have Daniel de la Rosa and Aida Estrella as new attorneys and Virginia Jiménez and Luis Briones, who will repeat. Vox incorporates Marta Alegría and retains Ignacio Sicilia.
In León, the PP adds María José Álvarez, Neftalí Fernández and Elena Bolo, while Antonio Mendoza continues. The PSOE maintains Nuria Rubio and renews with Mario Rivas, María Isabel Fernández and Benjamín Fernández. UPL retains Alicia Gallego and Luis Mariano Santos and incorporates Rosa María Quintanilla, while Vox maintains Carlos Pollán and adds Laura Dorráis.
In Palencia, the PP maintains Mercedes Cófreces and Carlos Fernández Carriedo and adds Ana San Millán. The PSOE presents three new faces: Miguel Ángel Blanco, Pilar García and Cristian Delgado, while Vox repeats with David Hierro.
In Segovia, which gains a solicitor and reaches seven representatives, the PP maintains Francisco Vázquez and Elena Rincón and incorporates José Luis Sanz. The PSOE will have Sergio Iglesias, who is repeating, and Paloma Ramírez and Carlos Fraile, who are making their debut. Vox maintains Susana Suárez.
In Soria, the PSOE obtains two attorneys, Carlos Martínez and Esther Pérez, both new to Parliament. The PP will be represented by Rocío Lucas, while Soria Ya maintains Ángel Ceña and Vox incorporates Miguel Contreras.
In Valladolid, the PP debuts María Pardo, José María Eiros, Borja del Barrio and Víctor Alonso and maintains Paloma Vallejo and Noemí Rojo. The PSOE introduces Sergio García, Ana Casado and Diego Vallejo and Patricia Gómez, Pedro González and Laura Peregrina repeat. Vox renews with Alberto Díaz Pico and Jesús Jiménez, while Fátima Pinacho continues.
Finally, in Zamora, the PP incorporates Leticia García and José Luis Barrigón and maintains Isabel Blanco. The PSOE renews its representation with Jesús Iñaki Gómez, Patricia Martín and Javier García, while Vox maintains Marisa Calvo.
A legislature marked by new profiles
The new legislature of the Cortes of Castilla y León will be characterized by a high level of renewal and a greater female presence, in addition to the arrival of numerous attorneys who will make their debut in regional politics.
