The Superior Conservatory schedules a meeting with the pianist and musicologist Luca Chiantore

This initiative is part of the Higher Conservatory’s commitment to promoting artistic excellence, musical research and the cultural projection of Castilla y León as a reference in higher musical training.

On Wednesday, February 18, at 8:00 p.m., the Salamanca Casino will host the activity titled “Night of music and words”, a meeting around the concept of classical music and its historical evolution. Author of the book Damned Words, Chiantore will propose a format that integrates reflection and live music, articulating thought and sound experience. The program will include works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Hélène de Montgeroult. For this activity, entry will be free until capacity is reached.

On Thursday, February 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the COSCYL Chamber Room will host a conference and seminar on Artistic Research. In this session, the musician will address how to think about music from interpretive practice, integrating reflection, instrumental experience and musical decision-making. Through practical examples and live piano auditions, new perspectives on instrumental study and the role of the musician in the social context will be raised.

With these activities, the Junta de Castilla y León reinforces its commitment to generating spaces for dialogue between interpretation, research and artistic creation, favoring citizens’ access to high-level cultural proposals and consolidating Salamanca as a reference enclave in the musical field.
