“The PP wins the elections and Sanchismo sinks”

The president of the PP of Castilla y León and candidate for re-election as president of the Board, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, has sent his “congratulations” to the Aragonese Jorge Azcón for his “victory” in the elections held this Sunday, where the ‘popular’ have revalidated the first position and obtained 26 deputies, two less than they had, compared to the 18 of the socialists, who have lost five and equaled their worst historical result.

In a message on “The PP wins the elections and Sanchismo sinks,” said the president of the PPCyL in a brief message after 11 p.m. This Monday he will attend the meeting of the National Board of Directors of his party, which is held at the Madrid headquarters of Génova starting at 12:00 p.m.

These early elections in Aragon have been held five weeks before the regional elections take place in Castilla y León, where the ballot boxes will be placed on March 15 to elect 82 Cortes attorneys.

This Sunday the ‘popular’ have achieved 34.26 percent of the votes and 26 deputies, compared to 18 for the socialists, five less than in 2023, with 24.29 percent of the support. Vox goes from seven to 14 deputies, with 17.88 percent of the votes. In addition, Chunta Aragonesista achieves six deputies, the Exist coalition two and IU-Movimiento Sumar, one.
